Applications are invited for the temporary part-time position of Vocational Trainer & Assessor (17.25 hrs per week, plus ADO) with Kawana Waters State College until the end of the 2019 school year, unless otherwise determined. The successful applicant will ideally possess the necessary skills and qualifications to provide support to student completing a Certificate II in Health Support Services and a Certificate III in Basic Health Care. As the Vocational Trainer and Assessor, you will:
Deliver a dual certificate course in Health – Certificate II in Health Support Services plus Certificate III in Basic Health Care
Work closely with and form partnerships with local health industry in order to assist with obtaining work placements for students as well as gaining community interest and involvement
Work in a small team to promote the College’s Health Education Unit to local neighbouring schools in order to grow and sustain the programs of delivery.
Industry experience in the Health sector is highly desirable
The Vocational Trainer and Assessor reports to the Deputy Principal on operational matters and to the Business Manager on administrative matters pertaining to leave and salary.
Mandatory requirements of this role are:
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
VET Qualifications (or higher) to the level being delivered
Demonstrated industry experience and currency.
