Permanent/ Part time opportunity
Based at our Centaur Retirement Community in Caloundra
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader and based at our Centaur Retirement Community in Caloundra, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Officer on a permanent part time basis ( 30 hrs per week) to join our team.
This position will undertake the regular corrective and routine maintenance around the site including buildings, equipment and grounds area and would be ideally suited to an experienced Handyman, Groundskeeper or Landscaper.
About the role
Assist with the prevention of equipment breakdowns by undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance tasks
Assist in the engagement, induction and management of external contractors
Identify and undertake maintenance and repair activities in an efficient and cost effective manner
What do we need from you?
Demonstrated knowledge of building and associated trades in relation to maintenance
Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Good computer skills with the ability to record, log and produce maintenance reports
The ability to liaise professionally with external contractors to obtain quotes and ensure outcomes are met in a timely manner.
Ability to work within a team environment and with timeframes whilst juggling competing priorities
Valid working rights
If appointed a satisfactory police check will be required
