Part-Time Assistant in Nursing (Casual) – Gympie

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an Assistant in Nursing to join our Casual pool at SVCS Gympie. As a casual employee, we require you to be available over the full roster period – mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights, both weekdays and weekends.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
Previous experience in a similar role;
Certificate III in Aged Care or similar qualification essential;
An ability to provide personal care that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation;
Ability to complete care plan documentation;
The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;
An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities;
Great time management, bedside and communication skills;
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Some of the tasks involved in this role include:
Assisting residents with personal care such as: Showering, hygiene and grooming;
Providing social support;
Assisting with daily living activities;
Assisting in the serving of meals;
Documenting and reporting any change in a resident’s status.
